October 19th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Councilman James P. O’Connor joined with volunteers and Keep Islip Clean Director, Nancy Cochran, for a cleanup of the Oakdale LIRR Station. Over 20 volunteers participated in the cleanup. Groups of volunteers cleaned both parking lots and platforms of the LIRR train station; a portion of Montauk Hwy spanning east and west of the station; the Oakdale-Bohemia Rd section to the north; and a park at the station.

October 14th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined officials from Good Samaritan Hospital on the occasion of the hospital earning the Magnet Designation for Nursing Excellence. The Magnet Recognition Program highlights health care organizations that demonstrate excellence in nursing philosophy and practice, adhere to national standards for improving patient care, have an active research program, and display leadership and sensitivity to cultural and ethnic diversity.

October 13th, 2021 – Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with Town officials Tuesday morning, for the demolition of a blighted property in the Bay Shore community, following a unanimous resolution passed by the Town Board to raze the vacant home in early January of this year.
