- The Town of Islip is proud to announce the newest edition of its popular senior-focused fitness television program, Get Fit with Nick, featuring trainer Nick Nuzzolo. The 2026 edition launches January 1, 2026 and will air on Channel 18 in the Town of Islip at 8:30 AM, 2:00 PM, and 6:00 PM.

- Several of Islip Town’s initiatives were recognized at today’s Smart Growth Summit. Organized by Vision Long Island, this year’s summit focused on affordability, helping small businesses, as well as downtown revitalization and infrastructure investment. The event brought together local and regional leaders from more than 50 Long Island communities featuring over 100 speakers and 20 workshops.

- On Wednesday, the Town of Islip hosted its annual Senior Club Officer Appreciation Breakfast, honoring the seniors who serve as officers of the nine clubs based in our senior centers throughout the Town. Each club meets regularly at their local center where they enjoy a variety of social and recreational activities throughout the year. We appreciate them for donating their time to attend this event to recognize their service.

- On Wednesday, the Town of Islip welcomed Good Samaritan University Hospital’s new Patient Care Pavilion, a six-story, 300,000-square-foot facility that will welcome thousands of patients over the coming years to promote healing, innovation, and compassion. This marks the largest investment in Suffolk County by Catholic Health, which has delivered this modern facility to serve the residents of the Town of Islip and support a healthier population overall.

– Breeze Airways will begin new nonstop flights between Long Island MacArthur Airport and Myrtle Beach beginning May 6, 2026. Breeze will serve the route two times weekly (Wednesdays and Saturdays) on its Airbus A220 aircraft with NICE, NICER and NICEST seating.
