Passengers in front of Cape Air plane

July 3, 2025 – Getting to Boston from Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) has never been easier thanks to new Cape Air four times daily service launching today.

“This new Cape Air service offers Long Islanders even more freedom and independence to travel between Boston and ISP for business and leisure flights. On behalf of the Islip Town Board we welcome this growing airline to Long Island MacArthur Airport,” said Town of Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “We also look forward to warmly welcoming visitors from Boston doing business and exploring our beautiful island home,” she added.

Cape Air will use gate B15 in the central terminal at Long Island MacArthur Airport for exceptional convenience for customers flying between ISP and Boston Logan International with fares starting at $249 each way, offering four flights daily.

“Cape Air is one of the largest commuter airlines in the U.S. and is spreading its wings across the Northeast and to Long Island. We’ve been working diligently and creatively on air service development for several years and it’s rewarding to see our map of destinations and air carriers continue to grow to serve our customers,” said Long Island MacArthur Airport Commissioner Rob Schneider.

Cape Air will fly the Tecnam P2012 Traveller on the route, offering passengers a modern, stylish, and highly capable twin-engine aircraft perfect for connecting these less than 90-minute hops to Boston. An innovative aircraft providing a private jet flying experience, the Traveller features amenities like USB ports, cup holders, and very comfortable 32-inch seat pitch; at the top of the 28-32 inch range offered in economy cabins by US airlines.

“Cape Air is proud to continue its mission of providing communities with convenient, reliable, and stress-free air travel. Long Island MacArthur Airport is the closest airport to so many Long Island attractions, and features easy access to rail service,” said Aaron Blinka, Cape Air’s Vice President of Planning. “We look forward to sharing our excellent customer experience and convenient flight schedules with travelers from the nearby Hamptons and beyond who are heading to New England, the Cape and Islands, or enjoying day trips to Boston. We are especially happy to provide fast and affordable service to those traveling domestically or internationally with easy connections to our partner airlines at Boston,” he added.

Cape Air partner airlines are also providing connecting opportunities for passengers on Cape Air ISP-BOS flights. For example, Cape Air customers can book itineraries through Boston on American and United Airlines to domestic destinations like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, and Chicago, and even international routes including Dublin, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
