A Message from the Supervisor

“Welcome to Islip, the 3rd largest town in New York State, but with an endearing small town feel. We are so proud of our town…our beaches, golf courses, marinas, parks, housing opportunities for all, businesses, industrial parks, healthcare and educational institutions including our own Islip MacArthur Airport that provides many job opportunities. I sincerely hope you find this website helpful.” Angie

October 19th, 2021 Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Councilman James P. O’Connor joined with volunteers and Keep Islip Clean Director, Nancy Cochran, for a cleanup of the Oakdale LIRR Station. Over 20 volunteers participated in the cleanup. Groups of volunteers cleaned both parking lots and platforms of the LIRR train station; a portion of Montauk Hwy spanning east and west of the station; the Oakdale-Bohemia Rd section to the north; and a park at the station.

More than 25 large garbage bags of trash and debris were collected during the cleanup. Students who contributed to the cleanup received community service hours.
