June 23rd, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by MacArthur Airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken, Deputy Commissioner Robert Schneider and representatives from Southwest Airlines, to pick the winning raffle for two free flights to Nashville, Tennessee. Southwest Airlines recently launched nonstop service from Long Island MacArthur Airport to Nashville, Tennessee.
June 22nd, 2021 – More than 200 cars attended the kick-off to the Town of Islip’s 2021 FREE Summer Drive-in Movie Night, for a showing of The Princess Bride at Byron Lake Park. Families from all over the Town made their way to the park to spend an evening under the stars and watch a classic movie loved by all ages.
June 17th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Town Councilman James O’Connor recently joined with Keep Islip Clean (KIC) Director Nancy Cochran and other KIC officials, to unveil a new sign and beautification in Hauppauge at Bretton Wood Estates. This sign is one of many signs created by the Town of Islip sign shop, that ‘Welcome’ visitors, homeowners and passersby into hamlets throughout the Town, and exemplifies the Town’s longstanding partnership with KIC.
June 17th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter recently recognized Bradley Zieman from Boy Scouts of America Troop 438 on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Bradley completed the required 21 merit badges and a major service project in order to earn this honor.
June 16th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Councilman John Cochrane attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for Kitty Mulligan’s Irish Pub. The Irish pub pays tribute to owner Stephen Bermingham’s grandmother Kitty Mulligan and the family’s Irish roots.
June 14th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Councilman Jim O’Connor recently joined employees of the Islip Multi-purpose Recycling Center in Holbrook for the Town’s annual Shred Day.
