August 10th, 2021 Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter attended the opening performance of “We Will Rock You” at CM Performing Arts in Oakdale. The play is a tribute to the musical group Queen, and features more than 20 of their top hits. This is CM Performing Arts’ 47th season, and the first since the COVID-19 pandemic.

August 5th, 2021 Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, Councilmen John Cochrane, Jr., James O’Connor and Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen, recently attended the Broadway Avenue Field ribbon cutting in Sayville, to celebrate the installation of new turf infields.

August 5th, 2021 Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter recently sat down for a taping of ‘Supervisor Spotlight’ with Dr. Christopher Raio, Chief of Emergency Medicine for Catholic Health and Chairperson of Emergency Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, to discuss the current trend of the pandemic, vaccine hesitancy and the importance of getting vaccinated.

Supervisor, local officials, owner and family gather in boutique with ribbon for cutting ceremony

August 4th, 2021 Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by Councilwoman Trish Bergin at a recent ribbon cutting ceremony for Sereen Hair and Beauty Boutique in Islip, and the launch of their newest program, Mondays at Sereen.

Mondays at Sereen offers clients affordable wigs and hair extensions to those who are undergoing cancer treatments or are experiencing medical hair loss such as Alopecia.

July 29th, 2021 Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined members of the American Legion Post 651 in Sayville to celebrate the 99th birthday of Navy Veteran Ruth Welch. Ruth, who was born on July 29th, 1922, joined the United States Navy during the Second World War serving as a member of WAVES, Woman Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service.

July 28th, 2021 Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter met with passengers onboard the Lauren Kristy Dinner Cruise before they set sail for a night on the Great South Bay. The itinerary includes a visit to the Town of Islip’s Atlantique Beach, and features a buffet dinner, dancing and panoramic sunset views over the bay.

July 26th, 2021 Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by MacArthur Airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken and a representative from Southwest Airlines, to pick the final two winning raffles for two free flights to Nashville, Tennessee. Southwest Airlines recently launched nonstop service from Long Island MacArthur Airport to Nashville, Tennessee.
