The Town of Islip annually honors those seniors who selflessly volunteer on a regular basis at its various centers. These seniors function as the welcoming committee, the activities and special events aids, the Bingo callers, and the kitchen assistants, performing tasks to help carry out events, activities and nutrition programs.

April 29th, 2022 – The Town of Islip Unity Council held its inaugural “Lunchtime Speaker Series,” with a compelling presentation and Q & A from Holocaust survivor Edith Gross, of Oakdale. The event marked the debut of the Council, a restructuring of the Anti-Bias Task Force, reframed to better focus on inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility (IDEA) in the Town of Islip.

May 10th, 2022 The Hispanic American Club hosted its annual Mother’s Day celebration at the Caesar Trunzo Senior Center in Brentwood recently with a luncheon and dancing. Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter thanked the Hispanic American Club organizers, members and guests for honoring all moms.
