May 7th, 2021 – Town officials and neighbors looked on, as two vacant properties in Bay Shore were razed this week. The properties, located at 4 and 8 Thomas Dr., were part of an unfinished 9 lot subdivision known as Island Woods.
May 6th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, Chamber of Commerce President, Liz Mayott along with elected officials on the state and local levels, turned out to welcome a new business to the Town of Islip.
April 30th, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor, Angie Carpenter and members of the Islip Town Board, joined family and friends of Sgt. Lawrence Guarnieri, at a street renaming and dedication in his memory recently.
April 23rd, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Councilman John C. Cochrane Jr. recognized 6 students for their winning posters, submitted to the Town of Islip DEC Virtual Earth Day Poster Contest. The contest was sponsored by COVANTA. More than 130 entries were received.
April 23rd, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Town Councilman James O’Connor recently recognized local resident, Luca Iallonardi at Town Hall during Autism Awareness Month.
April 22nd, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter presented her annual State of the Town address Wednesday, praising town employees and residents for coming together and showing their strength and resolve during the COVID-19 pandemic.
April 20th, 2021 – Central Islip HS Senior Twyla Joseph received a Certificate of Recognition from Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, on behalf of the members of the Town Board recently. Twyla, whose story of the struggles of virtual learning, anxiety and college selection during COVID-19, reflects the story of millions of young students struggling during the pandemic, graced the cover of Time magazine in an April story, "The Lost Year."
