September 21st, 2023 – Islip Town Supervisor, Angie Carpenter and Councilman John Cochrane, a retired Naval Captain, joined with National Grid employee volunteers who are also Veterans, at the beautification of the grounds of a United Veterans Beacon House property by trimming bushes, removing trees, power washing, mulching beds, planting flowers, and removing a ramp.

National Grid employees also took time to hand write greeting cards to Veterans through the Act of Kindness card campaign.

September 20th, 2023 – The Town of Islip hosted a Health Fair at the Caesar Trunzo Senior Center. Numerous agencies throughout the Town participated including Catholic Health, who provided Flu shots and various health screenings. In attendance were Suffolk County Office for the Aging; Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office; PSEG; National Grid; Alzheimer organizations; Elder Law attorneys; representatives from Assisted Living facilities; physical therapists offices and more.

September 20th, 2023 – Officials, benefactors and medical staff celebrated the groundbreaking of a new pavilion at South Shore University Hospital. Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with Mark Solazzo, President, Strategic Initiatives of Northwell; Community Board President, Peter Hoffman; and SSUH Executive Director, Donna Moravick, as shovels went into the ground marking the ceremonious event.
