June 7th, 2023 – In recent years, the Town of Islip has received numerous complaints from residents about dangerous criminal behavior, along with an influx of reports from the MTA Police and Suffolk County Police about illegal activities including drug dealing at Ross Memorial Park in Brentwood.
June 1st, 2023 – Sherwood Elementary School 3rd graders recently visited Islip Town Hall, as part of a field trip that included stops at the Islip Public Library and the Islip Fire Department. The three cohorts of students rotated between the agencies, allowing all students to discover the unique roles each plays within our community.
May 26th, 2023 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and members of the Town Board welcomed the USAF Thunderbirds and their team to LI MacArthur Airport Thursday, in advance of what hopes to be another Memorial Day Air Show at Jones Beach, sponsored by Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
May 25th, 2023 – The Cradle of Aviation Museum, Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP), and the Town of Islip announced a unique, new partnership to promote aviation education and careers.
May 26th, 2023 – Long Island MacArthur Airport is a frequent hub for aircraft participating each year in the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach State Park. This year for the first time, the airport will also be on-site at the Air Show with an eye-catching immersive area featuring Breeze Airways.
