November 21st, 2023 – Town of Islip employees and volunteers from Islip Food for Hope today distributed more than 800 turkeys and pies, along with 1,000 ‘Boxes of Love’ to over 70 agencies, including churches and school districts within the Town. These Thanksgiving boxes will be given to families in the community to help ease the burden of food insecurity during the holiday.

November 2nd, 2023 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and NYS Assemblyman Phil Ramos unveiled a newly renovated park in Brentwood today. Ross Memorial Park, once the site of homelessness, illegal drug activity and a clash with police, had been shuttered by Town officials in September 2020 after members of the Suffolk County Police Department determined that the park had been a “hot spot” for illegal activity and loitering.

October 30th, 2023 – More than 30,000 people turned out for the 43rd Annual Town of Islip Apple Fest Saturday at the Islip Grange in Sayville. Sunshine and blue skies made for the perfect backdrop as festival goers enjoyed food, craft vendors, LIVE music, line dancing, petting zoo, amusement rides, games, a scarecrow contest and more!

October 26th, 2023 – Brentwood Celebrates with Community Mural The Long Island Latino Teachers Association (LILTA) in collaboration with the Huntington Arts, Teatro Yerbabruja, and BethpageFCU, held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the newly completed Brentwood Mural.

The mural was directed by master, Segundo Orellana, and assisted by students from Brentwood and Central Islip. The Brentwood Mural, at 92 Wicks Rd., showcases places and events in the community of Brentwood.
