May 14th, 2024 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Islip Town Board recently honored Richard Mosback at the May Town Board Meeting for his courageous actions on April 3rd, 2024. Mosback, a Nassau County Police Officer, demonstrated extraordinary bravery when he risked his own life to save a neighbor trapped in a burning home.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the grand opening of the Town's newest indoor pickleball facility. Pickleball Xpress, located at 181 Freeman Ave. #4 in Islip recently opened its doors to the public.
June 23rd, 2023 – Town of Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter is pleased to announce that two of the Town’s employees working in the Town’s Public Information Office have been honored with a prestigious Folio award for the outstanding documentary, "The Blue Point Oyster." Those employees are Communications Director, Caroline Smith and Videographer, Gary Licker.
