April 19th, 2022 – In celebration of Autism Acceptance Month, the Town of Islip in collaboration with IgniteLI, hosted a panel discussion on the many benefits of hiring local talent on the autism spectrum, especially as many businesses are looking to hire.

April 15th, 2022 – The West Islip Little League organization held its Opening Day ceremony recent. Hundreds of families turned out for the event, which had been halted in recently years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The kids enjoyed face painting, bouncers, and showcasing their banners during the parade.

April 14th, 2022 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter presented her annual State of the Town address Monday, echoing a theme of unity, inclusivity and the importance of partnerships. The 35-minute address highlighted new programs and initiatives on the horizon, those that have already been implemented Town-wide, while also commending town employees and residents for coming together and showing their strength and resolve during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
April 14th, 2022 – The Town of Islip Division of Public Safety recently graduated 5 park rangers from its Law Enforcement Academy. This marks the Town’s 5th class, making a total of 42 graduates to date since the in-house program began in November 2017.
