February 6th, 2020 – Islip Town Councilman John C. Cochrane, Jr., Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen, Councilman James P. O'Connor and Receiver of Taxes Alexis weik, recently joined Thomas Michael Davis III, Grand Marshal, and members of the East Islip community, for the 2020 East Islip St. Patrick's Day parade.
March 2nd, 2020 – The Town of Islip recently launched a new internship program with Eastern Suffolk BOCES in Oakdale to promote student education in real work environments.
February 27th, 2020 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined Councilman Jim O’Connor recently, for the Rusy-Bohm American Legion monthly breakfast in Islip. Dozens of American Legion members turned out for the event, which offered eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, Texas Toast, hash browns, and more.
February 18th, 2020 – Supervisor Angie Carpenter and members of the Islip Town Board, honored 8-year-old Ava McKiernan of East Islip at the February Town Board meeting for her Wreath’s of Joy wreath sale this past holiday season.
February 14th, 2020 – Twenty couples were married at Islip Town Hall Friday, February 14, 2020 in Islip's Chapel of Love. Town Clerk Olga Murray and her bilingual staff, officiated from 9 am to 8 pm, having added extra hours to meet the demand of Valentine's Day weddings.
February 14th, 2020 – This year marks the 10th Anniversary the DiPalma family of West Islip lost a family member to suicide.
February 12th, 2020 – Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with members of the Town Board to honor Sharon Dungee, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in the Central Islip School District.
