A Message from the Supervisor

“Welcome to Islip, the 3rd largest town in New York State, but with an endearing small town feel. We are so proud of our town…our beaches, golf courses, marinas, parks, housing opportunities for all, businesses, industrial parks, healthcare and educational institutions including our own Islip MacArthur Airport that provides many job opportunities. I sincerely hope you find this website helpful.” Angie

Employees placed the unwrapped items in Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter's office, where they were collected by Santa's elves and given to families registered with the Angel Tree program. The Town of Islip has been participating in the Salvation Army Angel Tree program since 2015, when Supervisor Carpenter took office.

Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with Bruce Fabrizio, Brentwood Chamber President, in welcoming the many families, high school students, local elected officials and civic members who celebrated the return of the tree lighting to the park since its grand reopening in November. The Town was forced to close the park in 2020 after the Suffolk County Police Department identified illegal drug activity in the park.
