May 12th, 2023 –Anne McCartney, a beloved member of the West Islip Senior Center’s Deer Lake Club, celebrated her 95th birthday recently!
May 12th, 2023 –The West Islip Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Job Fair at the West Islip Fire Department. Dozens of local high school students accompanied by their teachers turned out, as did adults looking to start new careers and seniors interested in part-time work.
May 8th, 2023 – Thousands turned out for the Town of Islip’s second annual Festival on the Fairway at Holbrook Country Club.
May 5th, 2023 – The Town of Islip paid tribute to the memory of its fallen hometown heroes, FDNY Jesse Gerhard and FDNY William Moon, with a cupola lighting ceremony Thursday. The event marks the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s, “Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters,” which invites fire and community organizations, businesses, landmarks and homes to light up red on May 4, International Firefighters Day, through May 7, National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, and honors the sacrifice of America’s fallen fire heroes.

May 4th, 2023 – Winners of the Town of Islip Pool Safety Poster Contest were recognized by Town officials recently for their creativity. The participating students are all part of the Town’s popular After-School Program.
