May 4th, 2023 – Winners of the Town of Islip Pool Safety Poster Contest were recognized by Town officials recently for their creativity. The participating students are all part of the Town’s popular After-School Program.

Joining proud parents, student artists and Recreation Center staff were Islip Town Supervisor, Angie Carpenter; Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Commissioner Tom Owens and Deputy Commissioner, Dierdre Wahlberg.- Bohemia After School Program:
- Amy Diaz - 2nd place in Age 9-12 category
- Mackenzie Kiley - 3rd place in Age 5-8 category
- Sofia Blanc – 1st place in Age 5-8 category
- Addyson Reyes – 1st place in Age 9-12 category
- Joziah Stallworth – 3rd place in Age 9-12 category
- Emily Forrester – 2nd place in Age 5-8 category
