A Message from the Supervisor

“Welcome to Islip, the 3rd largest town in New York State, but with an endearing small town feel. We are so proud of our town…our beaches, golf courses, marinas, parks, housing opportunities for all, businesses, industrial parks, healthcare and educational institutions including our own Islip MacArthur Airport that provides many job opportunities. I sincerely hope you find this website helpful.” Angie

Resources for Finding Vaccine Appointments

Appointments are added on a rolling basis as supply becomes available. Be sure to check back for open appointments.
  1. New York State: ONLINE

Residents can check if they are eligible to obtain a vaccination, by visiting New York State's Eligibility Site. If eligible, you will be able to move forward and search for an appointment near you at a state-operate distribution location.

  2. New York State: BY PHONE

Call the New York State Vaccination Hotline at 1-833-NYS-4VAX (1-833-697-4829) for more information on making appointments at state-run sites.

  3. County Resources

Visit Suffolk County's Online Vaccine Portal for COVID-19 vaccine updates and a robust vaccine FAQ. The Suffolk County website directs to the state-run website for appointments, and states that "When adequate supply of the COVID-19 is provided, Suffolk County is ready and able to quickly give vaccine doses to large numbers of people."
  4. Visit Nassau County's website to schedule vaccine appointments through Walgreens, Northwell Health, CVS and the State. Additional sites around Nassau County will appear as there are available appointments, and will be linked on their page.

  5. Northwell Health

Northwell Health's Coronavirus Digital Resource Center vaccine page directs to the state-run portal and had been previously booking appointments online. Information for scheduling the second vaccine dose can be found on their vaccine page.

  6. New York City Vaccine Finder

The NYC Vaccine Finder is a one-stop site for New Yorkers to find their nearest COVID-19 vaccination location. The tool is currently only available for city residents or essential workers who work in New York City and live elsewhere. The Vaccine Finder can also provide New Yorkers with information to schedule vaccination appointments.

  7. Local Pharmacies

CVS Health said pharmacies in 32 locations throughout New York (including Mattituck and Bethpage on Long Island) will start offering the vaccine to those eligible as supply becomes available, beginning Feb. 12. Those eligible can register on CVS.com, using the pharmacy’s app or by calling 1-800-746-7287.
Walgreens said it will provide vaccinations to those eligible in New York, in stores beginning on Feb. 12. Supply is limited. Appointments can be made online via: Walgreens.com/ScheduleVaccine.

  8. Pop-up Sites

The State continues to expand efforts to vaccinate communities most impacted by COVID-19 through targeted pop-up sites in local community centers. To learn more about COVID-19 Vaccination, appointments and scheduling, visit: https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/.
