May 21st, 2020 – The Town of Islip Division of Senior Citizen Affairs and Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter are proud to announce that the Get Fit with Nick exercise program, once offered at Town senior centers, will now be available on the Town's government access television channels.
"We had to close our senior centers due to the COVID-19 pandemic," said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. "Nick's exercise classes were always well-attended. Staying fit is important for the mind and the body. Now residents will be able to stay fit and healthy while staying safe," said Supervisor Angie Carpenter.The series is currently being filmed outdoors at the Town of Islip's beautiful Brookwood Hall. Look for the Get Fit with Nick exercise program on YouTube, Channel 18 and on Verizon's Channel 1982 beginning in early June.
