April 28th, 2020 – The United States Air Force Thunderbirds and the United States Navy Blue Angels paid tribute to healthcare workers battling COVID-19 with a flyover Long Island's south shore Tuesday.
The event was part of the America Strong tribute that brought the two elite flight demonstration squadrons together, in a rare joint appearance to salute healthcare workers in the tri-state area on the front lines of the coronavirus.
Health care workers gathered outside Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip to witness the tribute.
