May 26th, 2023 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and members of the Town Board welcomed the USAF Thunderbirds and their team to LI MacArthur Airport Thursday, in advance of what hopes to be another Memorial Day Air Show at Jones Beach, sponsored by Bethpage Federal Credit Union.

Airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken, Deputy Commissioner, Robert Schneider and NY State Parks staff were on hand during the team's arrival, which gave members of the press an opportunity to preview the event.

The Thunderbirds will headline the Air Show taking place Saturday, May 27th and Sunday, May 28th from 10am to 3pm.
