A Message from the Supervisor

“Welcome to Islip, the 3rd largest town in New York State, but with an endearing small town feel. We are so proud of our town…our beaches, golf courses, marinas, parks, housing opportunities for all, businesses, industrial parks, healthcare and educational institutions including our own Islip MacArthur Airport that provides many job opportunities. I sincerely hope you find this website helpful.” Angie

April 15th, 2019– Dozens turned out to raise money and awareness for Suffolk AHRC at the Town of Islip/AHRC Suffolk Polar Bear Splash Saturday.

Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined at the Splash by LI Ducks Mascot Quaker Jack, the AHRC Polar Bear mascot and FINN, the Suffolk Community College mascot. Special guest DJ "Luke the Nuke" kept the crowd inspired as they ran into the chilly April waters at the Bay Shore Marina.

"The AHRC provides support and services to approximately 2,500 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Long Island. We're proud to partner with them on this worthwhile cause," said Supervisor Carpenter.
