March 28th, 2019– The LIRR has announced that repaving has been scheduled on the Ronkonkoma/Mainline Branch in the following areas:
RONKONKOMA
Friday, April 5th, from 8AM to 4PM (daytime hours)
- Pond Road Grade Crossing will be permanently repaved and closed to road traffic.
- During those hours vehicles will use Ocean Avenue for alternate access.
CENTRAL ISLIP
Wednesday, April 17, from 9PM to 6AM (overnight hours)
- Carleton Avenue Grade Crossing will be permanently repaved and closed to road traffic.
- During those hours vehicles will use Lowell Avenue to east, Islip Avenue or N Peters Blvd to west.
Thursday, April 18, from 9PM to 6AM (overnight hours)/
- Ocean Avenue Grade Crossing will be permanently repaved and closed to road traffic.
- During those hours vehicles will use Pond Road for alternate access.
