A Message from the Supervisor

“Welcome to Islip, the 3rd largest town in New York State, but with an endearing small town feel. We are so proud of our town…our beaches, golf courses, marinas, parks, housing opportunities for all, businesses, industrial parks, healthcare and educational institutions including our own Islip MacArthur Airport that provides many job opportunities. I sincerely hope you find this website helpful.” Angie

  • A snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches is expected, impacting ALL of Suffolk County. Snowfall rates could reach or even exceed 1 inch of accumulation per hour.
  • Residents should plan for slippery roads and potential delays, with hazardous conditions expected to impact the Friday morning commute.
  • Travelers are urged to use extreme caution while traveling and to only travel if necessary.
  • Make sure tires are properly inflated and windshield wipers are working properly.
  • Remember to SLOW DOWN!
  • Town crews and snow plows are prepping and will be at the ready.
