December 1st, 2021 - Draft Environmental Impact Statement Hearing Public Notice for Change of Zone #CZ2017-009

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Islip, as lead agency under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), will hold an in-person Public Hearing on December 1, 2021 at 5 pm, located at Islip Town Hall West, 401 Main Street, Islip, NY 11751, on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for change-of-zone application #CZ2017-009, Greybarn-Sayville Planned Development District (the proposed action).

A copy of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed action may be obtained online at the Town's website via: Island Hills Draft Environmental Impact Statement, or from Ron Meyer, Commissioner of the Town of Islip Department of Planning & Development, 655 Main Street, Islip, NY 11751, (631) 224-5450. Comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed action are requested and will be accepted at the Public Hearing, and written comments will be accepted at the Department of Planning & Development until 12:30 pm, December 31, 2021.

The Public Hearing will also be streamed live over the Internet. Instructions on how to access the livestream will be available in the space below.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Islip Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 2 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at the Islip Town Hall West, 401 W Main Street, Islip, New York to consider the merits and to clarify the issues of the following land use applications and to review the associated environmental impacts.

Anyone desiring any information pertaining to these applications may write or appear in person at that time. Any proposed zoning changes listed herein require additional Town Board approval.

Bring the family to see the lights from the comfort and safety of your personal vehicle, as you drive through the 1/8-mile light display on the grounds of historic Brookwood Hall.

First Congregational Church Christmas Toy Drive, Coat Giveaway, Tree Lighting & More

The First Congregational Church of Bay Shore is hosting a weekend of holiday themed celebrations and charity related events, Saturday through Sunday, December 11th & 12th.

Help spread the holiday cheer from 10am – 2pm on Saturday, Dec. 11, with the FCC Annual Toy and New Winter Coat giveaway. Then, come back Sunday, December 12th, for the festivities beginning at 3pm with the Christmas Concert, followed by the Community Christmas Dinner at 4:30pm and the Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:30pm.

All events will be held at the First Congregational Church of Bay Shore, located at 1860 Union Blvd. Call (631)665-0091 for more information.
