Unity Council's Lunchtime Speaker Series: Holocaust Survivor Edith Gross

In observance of Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Town of Islip Unity Council invites you to hear the words and story of Holocaust survivor Edith Gross, on Thursday, April 28th at 1:00 pm.

The Islip Unity Council, formerly the Anti-Bias Task Force, has been newly reformed to better focus on Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility in the Town of Islip (IDEA for short). This presentation will inaugurate the Unity Council's new Lunchtime Speaker Series.

On March 1st, 2019, at the age of 70, life-long Town of Islip resident Frank Romeo, a decorated Vietnam Veteran and one of the longest living veterans diagnosed with 100% Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) related disabilities, began a 750-mile trek across the State of New York, advocating for veterans issues and the awareness of PTSD, suicide and homelessness.
