ISLIP, NY – December 17th, 2025 - This season, the Connetquot T-Birds captured the Suffolk County Class AAA Championship, marking their first county title since Fall 2019. This extraordinary success came during Head Coach Louis Melfi’s first year leading the program and demonstrated the excellence of both Coach Melfi and the entire team.

Beyond their accomplishments on the court, the T-Birds demonstrated a strong commitment to our community. This season included their first Hometown Heroes event on September 10 against Lindenhurst, as well as the 7th Annual Dezy Strong Match on September 29 against Newfield, reflecting the team’s dedication to service and unity.
