June 21st, 2023 – Family members together with Veterans gathered outside the American Legion Rusy-Bohm Post 411 to memorialize past Commander, Dominick DeCrescenzo of Islip by dedicating a flagpole in his memory. Dominick was a longtime NYC sanitation worker and a proud US Army Veteran. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, cherished grandfather of 9 and a great grandfather of 8.

The flagpole dedication was held in conjunction with Commack Rd. Elementary School's Flag Day Ceremony.
