‘Stepping On’ is a CDC model program that comprises a seven-week workshop that focuses on balance and strength, home and community safety, vision, safe footwear and medication review. The program has proven to reduce the number of falls for participants by 31 percent. “Participants in this program will gain the knowledge necessary to stay safe in and around the home,” said Supervisor Carpenter.
