Recycling Educator
(631) 595-3630
Through the services of a full-time Recycling Educator, a recycling film and a PreK-12 recycling curriculum, both adults and children are instructed about the importance of waste reduction and recycling. This dual commitment of Town and residents allow for the long-term success of these solid waste practices.
Don't Bag It - Grass Clippings
Grass clippings will not be accepted for curbside pick-up. We asked that you either mulch or drop off your grass clipping at the MacArthur Compost Facility. There are a number of benefits to mulching. For example, by leaving grass clippings on your lawn it serves as a natural fertilizer and will conserve water, therefore your lawn will be greener and grown more vigorously. Click HERE for more more information.
STOP Day (Stop Throwing Out Pollutants)
