Testing Site Opens in Brentwood, Friday April 10th
Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and the Islip Town Board are informing residents that a Coronavirus COVID-19 testing facility will open Friday, April 10th in the Town of Islip in Brentwood. The Brentwood site, located at the Brentwood Recreation Center, 99 3rd Ave, Brentwood, is an outdoor testing facility available by appointment only. Those who believe they, or someone in their family may have the virus, can call 845-553-8030 to schedule a test.
"While we continue as a community to work through this public health crisis, we must remain vigilant doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19. That means staying at home, proper hand hygiene and social-distancing. On behalf of the Islip Town Board, I ask that we continue to act in cooperation together, to keep that number as low as possible," said Supervisor Carpenter.
This Brentwood site is the first to open in the Town of Islip. Residents are asked to inquire about an appointment only if they exhibit symptoms of persistent cough, severe shortness of breath and a temperature over 100.5.
