March 15th, 2024 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, joined by Receiver of Taxes Andy Wittman and Town Clerk Linda D. Vavricka, kicked off St. Patrick's Day celebrations by lighting the Town Hall cupola green. Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly, representing Babylon Town, and members of the East Islip and Babylon Hibernians were also in attendance. The event celebrated the strong Irish heritage within the community and the contributions of those who share their Irish heritage.
